The Bell Movie Club
A COVID-19 Initiative
Bell is one of Canada's largest telcos. You might say it's the Verizon of Canada. They were looking for a cheap, easy way to increase their likability during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Bell is a major sponsor of TIFF, so they already had known equity in the movie space. We decided to leverage that reputation and bring movie lovers across Canada together—while staying apart—for the Bell Movie Club.
We invited all of Canada press "play" at the same time on a beloved, classic movie, like "Back to the Future" or "Titanic," while keeping the Bell Facebook page open. There, we revealed fun behind-the-scenes facts in real time as the corresponding scenes played out. Afterward, we held discussions.
